A thread over on the Diablo Immortal subreddit (via SamMobile) shows what appears to be a large number of users having issues playing the game. While for some the game is loading, it’s running into visual artifacts and other graphical glitches. Not a great start for players that may have been hoping to hop in on day 1.
Diablo Immortal won’t work on these Galaxy phones
Most mobile devices don’t appear to be having any problems. And if you’re using a Galaxy device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, then you should be fine. Diablo’s Senior Community Manager Adam Fletcher has listed all the impacted devices. This includes phones like the Galaxy A12, Galaxy A13, Galaxy A21S, and even the Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy Note 10 5G. The list is somewhat extensive and seems to affect quite a few different devices. You can find that list below. On that note, Fletcher does confirm that the development team has acknowledged the issue. And that it’s working to get the problem fixed as soon as possible. He also states that they may disable the downloads for those devices until the issue can be resolved. So if you have one of the affected devices and can’t install the game, this is likely why.
Some newer devices seem to have issues as well
According to SamMobile, it isn’t just the phones listed by Fletcher that are having the problems. Some newer devices, like the Galaxy S22+ are also running into visual bugs if they’re running on an Exynos chipset. Another thing to keep in mind is that Fletcher’s post was from June 1. So it’s a day old at this point and there’s a chance devices that aren’t listed could have been discovered to have the bugs. If you find that your device is having these issues, it’s also possible to play Diablo Immortal on PC as the beta launched today.
