Titled “get ready to unfold something unmistakably you,” the teaser features three alien creatures in a Galaxy Studio, which appears to be a paint factory. The 19-second long CGI (computer-generated imagery) shows the aliens working on a huge color palette on a computer display. They are playing around with various buttons and knobs to create new color combinations. The video ends with the same text as the title. Of course, the teaser doesn’t feature a foldable device neither does Samsung mention anything as such. But the company using the word “unfold” in the title, as well as in the video, is a big clue that Galaxy Unpacked 2 will focus on foldable devices. Perhaps the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 foldables will get new color options. Or maybe Samsung will also let customers choose their own color combination for external components such as the hinge and the back panel. We shall see soon. Samsung already offers its latest foldables in a fairly wide color range. And as SamMobile notes, customers in some markets can also already pick exclusive color combinations for the two devices. The company may now be looking to bring this concept to more customers globally.
The Galaxy S21 FE may not arrive at Galaxy Unpacked 2
When Samsung announced the Galaxy Unpacked 2021 Part 2 last week, speculations emerged that the Galaxy S21 FE will finally break cover. Some reports even claimed that the company has already started supplying accessories to retailers and that the long-rumored affordable Galaxy flagship will go on sale later this month. However, just when everyone was starting to build hopes, well-known tipster Roland Quandt suggested otherwise. According to him, the Galaxy S21 FE will not break cover until next year. That said, Samsung’s Fan Edition (FE) devices have traditionally come in numerous color options. So the recent teaser for Galaxy Unpacked 2 focusing on color customizations could also be a hint at the Galaxy S21 FE. But only time will tell whether the device will arrive at the upcoming event. As of now, the confusion around the launch of the Galaxy S21 FE hasn’t settled.
