Key Galaxy S23 Ultra specs confirmed
As per the TENAA listing, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will sport a 6.8-inch display with a QHD+ resolution (1,440×3,088 pixels). It will feature an octa-core processor operating at a maximum frequency of 3.36GHz. That’s none other than the higher-clocked “AC” version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Samsung is pairing the chipset with 8GB and 12GB of RAM options. Storage options will include 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The handset will support all major 4G LTE and 5G bands. The Galaxy S23 Ultra will include a total of five cameras. We already know that Samsung will equip the phone with a 200MP shooter at the back. It will be flanked by a 12MP ultrawide lens, a 10MP periscope telephoto camera with 10X optical zoom, and a 10MP regular telephoto camera with 3X optical zoom. But the TENAA listing mentions two 12MP sensors at the back. It’s likely an error or maybe Samsung is upscaling the 10MP zoom shots to 12MP resolution. Nonetheless, we can also see a 12MP front camera listed on the spec sheet. If that’s correct, we are in for a substantial resolution downgrade from a 40MP selfie camera found on the Galaxy S22 Ultra. While we wait for confirmation on that, the rest of the specs mentioned in TENAA documents are in line with what leaks have suggested. Even the dimension, which was leaked more than three months ago. The Galaxy S23 Ultra will reportedly measure 163.4×78.1×8.9 mm in dimension and weigh 233 grams. This certification also confirms that the new Galaxy flagship will pack a battery unit with a rated capacity of 4,855mAh. Samsung will probably advertise the device with a typical battery capacity of 5,000mAh. We have already seen this battery pack in prior leaks. The TENAA listing also mentions an under-display fingerprint scanner. We are hearing it will be Qualcomm’s 3D Sonic Max sensor, the world’s largest ultrasonic fingerprint sensor yet. With the key specs leaked, it should now only be a matter of time before the rumor mill starts talking about the pricing of the Galaxy S23 series. We will keep you posted.
