The Moto E40 is a budget smartphone and the front look of the device clearly tells that. The handset features a rather huge display bezel at the bottom that you don’t see on more premium devices. Motorola has tucked the earpiece grille onto the frame. A sizeable punch-hole cutout sits centered at the top of the display. On the back, we have three cameras and an LED flash sitting inside a rounded rectangular housing. It mentions a 48-megapixel primary camera with quad pixel technology for better low-light photos. The Moto batwing logo on the back also includes a capacitive fingerprint scanner. The Moto E40 sports rounded corners and edges. It has its volume controls and the power button on the right side. There’s also a third physical button on the right, which could be a dedicated Google Assistant button. The SIM tray is on the left side.
Moto E40 leaked specifications
As mentioned earlier, this isn’t the first time the Moto E40 has appeared in leaks. A major leak a couple of weeks back not only revealed its full design but also most of its key specs. We are looking at a 6.5-inch Max Vision IPS LCD screen with an HD+ resolution (1600 x 720 pixels) and a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood is reportedly a UNISOC T700 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The aforementioned 48-megapixel primary camera is flanked by a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera is an 8-megapixel sensor. The device packs a 4,000mAh battery with support for 10W fast charging. Other key features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance, USB Type-C 2.0, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, FM radio, and accelerometer and proximity sensors. The device will run the Android 11 Go edition. The Moto E40 reportedly has a dimension of 165.08 x 75.64 x 9.14 mm and weighs 198 grams. It’s unclear when Motorola plans to unveil the Moto E40 and whether it will be available globally. Considering the volume of leaks and the extent of information revealed, it shouldn’t be long before the company decides to take wraps off the phone.
