The Nothing Phone (1)’s Android 13 update may arrive sooner than expected
Well, Carl Pei now decided to explain things even further. The beta version of Android 13-based Nothing OS will drop before the end of this year. That suggests that Android 13 may drop in early 2023, which is something Pei also mentioned. So, it’s more of a Q1 2023 prediction, and that sounds better than H1 2023, which is a bit more general. Carl Pei did highlight that the company won’t rush updates, in general. That goes for Android 13 as well. That’s a good thing, as bugs need to be avoided. Still, users are expecting a such updates in a timely fashion, so let’s hope this early 2023 prediction will pan out. Nothing has been really good when it comes to updates, thus far. The Nothing Phone (1) received quite a few updates since it launched, and they really did make a difference. They brought stability to the table, and improved various aspects of the phone, including its cameras.

Nothing is shaping up to be an enthusiast brand, kind of, so people have high expectations when it comes to updates. This is a rather new company, though. The Nothing Phone (1) is their first smartphone, so we can’t really expect miracles. For those of you who are out of the loop, Google started to roll out Android 13 recently. The update started to roll out to the company’s Pixel phones, while it’s expected to expand to other brands soon. Many companies released Beta builds for their devices, but not a single one rolled out a stable build just yet. Both OnePlus and Samsung are expected to be amongst the first, along with some other companies.
