OnePlus Nord Watch specifications
The OnePlus Nord Watch features a 1.78-inch (45.2mm) AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a 368×448 pixels resolution. You get a pixel density of 326PPI and a brightness of 500 nits. The watch has a Zinc alloy metallic body and standard silicone strap with stainless steel buckle. The company has used hypoallergenic material on the body and strap, allowing for comfortable and irritation-free wear. OnePlus is offering a collection of over 100 downloadable watch faces for the Nord Watch, so you can customize the dial background as per your interest or mood. You also get 105 sports and activity modes with an optimized system for various measuring various activity data and metrics. The Nord Watch lets you track everything from walking, running, skipping, climbing, and sports such as yoga, cricket, and football. Thanks to its IP68 rating, the wearable is good for use in rain or a pool. OnePlus claims the device is tested to survive everyday drops and falls. The OnePlus Nord Watch can also keep track of your health. It can measure your heart rate, blood oxygen level, stress, and sleep. For women, it has a menstrual cycle track as well. The watch sends you discreet reminders about your period. All health and activity data can be accessed on a smartphone via the N Health app. The app also lets you control music on the phone or use it as a remote shutter for the phone’s camera. All this with a promised battery life of up to 10 days on typical usage and 30 days on standby. Note that this Oneplus smartwatch doesn’t run on Wear OS. Instead, it is powered by the company’s in-house software. OnePlus also doesn’t mention the processor details. The first-gen OnePlus Watch didn’t set a promising precedent for the company’s smartwatches. It is now looking to turn things around with an affordable offering under the Nord sub-brand. Time will tell its fate.
Price and availability
The OnePlus Nord Watch is available to buy immediately in India in Midnight Black and Deep Blue colors. The wearable has an MSRP of ₹6,999 (roughly $85) but is currently selling for ₹4,999 (~$62). You may get an additional discount of ₹500 (~$6) on paying with a qualifying bank’s credit or debit card. There’s no word yet on the watch’s availability elsewhere.
