But ultimately it’s about one thing. Showing off your latest build and flexing on other players. After installing the new content, players will find that the colosseums located in three sections of the map are now open. One in Caelid, one in Limgrave, and one in Leyndell. The update, which hits PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC versions of the game today, also includes a range of bug fixes. Some focus on general balance adjustments while others are strictly focused on PvP. For instance, FromSoft has reduced the power of the Carian Slicer spell. That and the other adjustments do not have any impact on co-op or single player though.

The Elden Ring Colosseum update includes three new PvP modes

With the big part of this update being centered around PvP, there’s new ways to test your builds against other players. There are essentially three new modes to check out. The first two are located in the Limgrave colosseum. The first is called United Combat, where two teams of players (up to three per team) face off against each other in timed battles. Respawns are available as death is not permanent. However, the enemy team will score each time you die and respawn. At the end of the match, the highest scoring team wins. The second mode in this colosseum is called Combat Ordeal and is a free-for-all battle. Respawns are also present in this mode and the player with the most points at the end wins. The third mode is called Duel and is located at the Royal Colosseum in Leyndell. As the name suggests, two players duel each other with the goal of being the victor. There are no respawns in this mode though, so fight wisely. Lastly, the Caelid Colosseum takes all three of those modes and adds the ability to summon Spirit Ashes.
