The Galaxy S21 FE comes one step closer to launch
The device is listed with the SM-G990B/DS model number. Unfortunately, this support page doesn’t exactly share much information. That model number is all that has been shared. Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S21 FE handset is rumored to come in both Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100 variants. We’re not sure what variant will become available in Germany, though. That handset has been rumored to launch for a long time now. It was supposed to arrive alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 last month, but Samsung decided to postpone the launch. The chip shortage is to blame, allegedly. We still don’t know when exactly will the device arrive, as several different reports surfaced. One claimed that it’s coming in October, the other says that it will arrive this month. The phone’s design did surface several times. The Galaxy S21 FE will look like a cross between the Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy S21. It will likely include a plastic backplate once again.
The phone will include a flat display, 120Hz display, fast charging & more
It will feature a flat display, with a centered display camera hole. Three cameras will be included on the back, while the phone will come in several color variants. A 6.5-inch fullHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate is rumored for the phone. An in-display fingerprint scanner will also be included, though it remains to be seen if it will be an ultrasonic one, or an optical one. Android 11 will come pre-installed, along with Samsung’s One UI skin. The phone is expected to utilize a 4,500mAh battery, and 25W fast wired charging. Wireless charging will also be supported, in case you’re wondering. You can expect to get a 12-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera on the back.
