The company is expected to release the Fan Edition of the Galaxy S21, i.e. the Galaxy S21 FE early next year. However, while the device is yet to come out, we have some details regarding the firmware on which it will run out of the box. According to the latest report by SamMobile, the Galaxy S21 FE will come with Android 12 out of the box. This is great news for those who were looking to purchase the device. In comparison to the Galaxy S21 FE, the original Galaxy S21 lineup, which includes the Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra that debuted early this year, came out with Android 11 out of the box. They have received the Android 12 One UI 4.0 update, but Galaxy S21 FE will run it out of the box. The entire Galaxy S21 series, including Galaxy S21 FE (whenever it comes out), will be eligible for three Android OS updates.
Galaxy S21 Fe will be supported till Android 15, whereas other devices in the lineup will support till Android 14
This means, the Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra will support until Android 14. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will support Android 15. Moreover, the device will come with Samsung’s latest in-house software One UI 4.0 out of the box. It will include all the bells and whistles the company will add till the time the phone comes out. If you wish to check out the Galaxy S21 FE firmware, then you can head over to SamMobile’s firmware section. It won’t be of much use since the device for which it is meant hasn’t been launched yet. It could be one of the selling points of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. Besides, it needs all the help it can get since it will be releasing so close to the company’s next year flagship, the Galaxy S22 series. Considering all the leaks and rumors about the Galaxy S22 series, if they turn out to be true, then we are going to have a brilliant S-series lineup up ahead. The Galaxy S22 Ultra, in particular, is expected to come with a bunch of the Note series’s features, including an S-Pen with housing on the device itself. Apparently, Galaxy S22 series will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.
