A fix for the Exynos Galaxy S22 Ultra performance issues is coming… soon
This information comes from Max Jambor, a well-known tipster. He received information that Samsung is not only working on the update, but that the update is right around the corner. It is expected to roll out “shortly”. We don’t really have an Exynos variant of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, so we cannot attest to performance issues, but various sources did report such problems. One example is Adam Conway, who shared his experience via Twitter. Considering this is the company’s flagship, and brand new on top of that, such issues shouldn’t occur, needless to say. The performance of this phone should be almost flawless. Samsung said it realizes that, as it said that product quality is its main priority.
Display issues will also be fixed
We’re not sure how this happened in the first place, but a fix is thankfully coming soon. That also goes for the phone’s display issues that we’ve reported on recently. Samsung said it’s working hard on that as well, and both fixes could be a part of the same update. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 variant of the Galaxy S22 Ultra fairs a lot better in terms of performance, at least for now. It does heat up a bit when pushed hard, but that’s about it, the performance doesn’t suffer. If you’d like to know more about our experience with the Galaxy S22 Ultra (Snapdragon version), feel free to check out our official review which went live not long ago. The same goes for the Galaxy S22+ review, by the way, as it is also live on the site.
