Samsung updates a bunch of Galaxy devices to Android 13
The Galaxy A51 5G is currently receiving the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update in the US. The rollout recently began for the carrier-locked units. The unlocked version of the phone should join the party in the coming days. Samsung should also soon expand the rollout to the 4G model and cover devices across the world. The handset is getting the November security patch with this release. The Android 13 update for the Galaxy A22 5G, meanwhile, began rolling out a few days back. Samsung first released the new Android version in India but quickly expanded the rollout to cover the whole of Europe as well as Asia. This device didn’t arrive in the US but the Korean firm should update units in Africa, Australia, and other regions pretty soon. The 4G version should also be in line for this release in the coming days. The November SMR (Security Maintenance Release) is part of this package too. The Galaxy Xcover 5 is another Samsung device making the jump to Android 13 in recent days. This rugged smartphone is picking up the big Android update along with the November SMR in Europe. It has a relatively limited release, so the company should sweep through those all in no time. The Galaxy M42 5G is also a lesser-known Galaxy smartphone and it is getting Android 13 too. Last but not least, Samsung is updating the Galaxy F42 5G to the new Android version in the few markets it released in. If you’re using any of these Galaxy smartphones, Android 13 should reach you very soon if it hasn’t already. You can wait for a notification about it or manually check for updates from the Settings app. Simply go to the Software update menu and tap on Download and install. This update brings plenty of new features, changes, and improvements to your Galaxy smartphone. Install the latest version and embark on a new Android journey.
