The first test gave players a taste of what’s to come. Torchlight: Infinite is also the first game to give Blizzard’s upcoming Diablo Immortal a run for its money. So, what’s changed? Well, quite a bit. But the most notable change is a series of improvements to the skill system. The dev team says this will let players have greater flexibility to create unique builds. In total, there are going to be 24 talent trees and 240 unique skills across all five character classes. Which translates to an utterly insane amount of build possibilities. According to the dev team, Torchlight: Infinite will have more unique build possibilities than any other Torchlight game in the series. So if you like build crafting and tweaking your characters to pump out the most power and damage possible, you’ll love this upcoming test.

Torchlight: Infinite will hold the second closed beta doesn’t have a confirmed end date

Last time the test was up, players had access for at least two to three weeks before servers were brought back offline. This time around, there doesn’t seem to be a confirmed date for when the test will end. But players shouldn’t expect things to last longer than a month. Though it is certainly possible. Players are also encouraged to share feedback about the test through the discussion forum and on the official Discord. This way the development team can take the feedback and apply any needed adjustments to the game before it launches.

All heroes can be unlocked for free this time around

Aside from the improved skill system, the second closed beta will allow players to unlock all heroes for free. Additionally, all skills, items, and maps can be unlocked for free as well. This will let players explore a wider breadth of the game to see what things are like in more areas and with more classes. And if you’re sitting down for an extended play session, rejoice. Because there are no cooldowns on attacks and no stamina system this time. Lastly, players will also be able to experience randomized dungeons, encounters, and loot drops with magic find. Remember the test kicks off this coming Sunday. So keep an eye on the TapTap app if you registered to participate.
