The Xiaomi 12T Pro has a familiar design, and a flat display
That being said, the Xiaomi 12T Pro surely has a lot to offer. Let’s start with the design. It features a glass sandwich design, while its front and back sides are proportional. You will notice three cameras on the back, and the top one is huge. More on that soon. The device includes a centered display camera hole, and really thin bezels. All of its physical buttons are on the right-hand side, while its display is flat. The phone comes in three color options, black, silver, and blue. The company also included an “anti-glare glass back”, which essentially means it has a matte finish.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 fuels the device, the best Qualcomm has to offer
This smartphone is fueled by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, the best Qualcomm has to offer. This chip has proven to be a major improvement over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, actually. It handles power consumption a lot better, it heats up less, and it’s also faster. The Xiaomi 12T Pro features a 6.67-inch CrystalRes AMOLED DotDisplay. That display offers a resolution of 2712 x 1220, and we’re looking at a ppi of 446 here. It also offers a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 480Hz touch sampling rate. This is an AdaptiveSync (30Hz/60Hz/90Hz/120Hz) display. It has a maximum brightness of 900 nits. A fingerprint scanner sits under the display, and this panel does support HDR10+ content. It also has Dolby Vision support, and a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1.
Both 8GB and 12GB RAM models are available, along with Harman Kardon audio support
Xiaomi included 8GB/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM inside of this phone. The 8GB RAM model comes in both 128GB and 256GB storage (UFS 3.1) flavors, while the 12GB RAM model has 256GB of storage. Android 12 comes pre-installed on this phone, along with MIUI 13, of course. Xiaomi promises 3 years of OS updates, and four years of security updates. There are two SIM card slots (2x nano SIM), Bluetooth 5.2, and also 5G supports (NSA+SA). The phone does include stereo speakers, and Dolby Atmos support. Its speakers have been tuned by Harman Kardon.
You’re also getting 120W charging, and a 200-megapixel main camera
A 5,000mAh battery is also a part of the package. It supports 120W HyperCharge fast charging, and Xiaomi AdaptiveCharge tech. A 120W charger is included in the box. You can fully charge the phone in only 19 minutes by using this charger. Many of you are probably interested in the Xiaomi 12T Pro cameras. The main camera is a 200-megapixel unit. This is Samsung’s ISOCELL HP1 sensor (1/1.22” size). It offers a 0.64um pixel size, or 1.28um if you count in 4-in-1 pixel binning. That goes to 2.56um in a 16-in-1 super pixel scenario. An f/1.69 aperture is on offer here, along with an 8P lens. This camera comes with a lens that provides an 85-degree FoV. OIS is supported, and this sensor is also used for 2x “in-sensor zoom”. You can record 8K video with this camera. The second camera on the back is an 8-megapixel ultrawide unit (1.12um pixel size, f/2.2 aperture, 120-degree FoV). The last camera on the back is a 2-megapixel macro unit (f/2.4 aperture, 1.75um pixel size). A 20-megapixel camera (f/2.24 aperture, 0.8um pixel size) sits on the front side of the device. The pricing for the Xiaomi 12T Pro starts at €750.
